the smoothie i'll be drinking until winter hits

Who am I kidding — I live in California. We don’t really have seasons. But, in all fairness, it’s just starting to warm up in SF. Our Indian summer is about to be in full swing, and I couldn’t be happier.

October is my favorite month in the city — it’s just before my birthday and the foggy chill of summer has passed. Either way, it’s smoothie weather, and I’ll take it.

As always, this simple blend-and-go meal is balanced, high in fiber, and packed with antioxidants. It has no added sugar, is loaded with collagen, and tastes delicious. Give it a try — I think you’ll like it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 banana, frozen

  • 3/4 cup blueberries, frozen

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 2 tsp peanut butter

  • 1/2 Tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1.5 scoops collagen peptides

  • 1/2 scoop vega clean protein power

  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened, vanilla

  • 1/2 cup coconut water, unsweetened

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

Notes

Feel free to sub almond butter for peanut butter.

Use marine collagen to make P.
